Thanks a million for including Bike-n-Eat Fridays on the events page! One question to fellow TMM'ers: If you think you have NO time for exercise, does it make sense to be stuck in traffic driving a monstrosity of metal, glass, and rubber on four-wheels to commute to work, the grocery store, or the the gym for the spinning class? Why not roll a bicycle, get yer exercise on the way to work? Hey, how about rolling a bike for warmup on the way to the 5K?

Thank you RunnersWorld Tulsa and TATUR for all your free training throughout the last two years. You have gotten me through my first full marathon and my first 50k train run.

I've been logging my daily walks and am starting to see my miles are really adding up. It makes me want to do even more!

    Let's Get Moving!

    Hey, kids!

Ready to get moving? It's easy and fun.

Do you walk a hundred steps to the bus stop? Do you ride your bike around the neighborhood, or play soccer? Swim? Dance? Wiggle?

You can join Mayor Dewey Bartlett and First Lady Victoria Bartlett and the rest of Tulsa in getting active so we can reach our new goal of two million miles.

Ask a grownup to help you log on to TulsaMillionMiles.com and track your miles! You can use this Web site to help you find out how many miles you go.

Then watch as the counter in the corner of the page adds YOUR miles to Tulsa's total. How many million do you think we can go?

Grissom 100-Mile Club and Thoreau Swim Club

Last November, former Mayor Kathy Taylor visited Grissom Elementary and ran laps with the 100-Mile Club kids around the school track.

Thoreau Demonstration Academy's swim club also joined Grissom kids that morning where former Mayor Taylor issued a challenge for them to swim laps and log them on Tulsa Million Miles.

Channel 6 reporter, Latoya Silmon was on hand at this fun event to interview former Mayor Kathy Taylor. Click on the following link to watch the interview: http://www.newson6.com/Global/category.asp?C=121535&clipId=4324678&autostart=true

Join us today and help Tulsa achieve two million miles...together we can do it!
