I am training for my first marathon with the Leukemia/Lymphoma Society's TeaminTraining. Great to have such a cool site on which to log my miles!

divorced mom of 4 kids, full time nursing school, two part time jobs waiting tables ( walks 2-3 miles per shift!) Over the past 2 years, I have lost 30 pounds, and I just joined the Y. Tonight I did my first treadmill workout and I look forward to continuing this journey to improving my fitness level!

I was really doubting myself with my goal of riding the HH 100 miles in WF Texas in under 6 hours. Because I have been able to track my progress with this great website and seeing my overall improvement in the last few months, I feel very confident that I can accomplish that goal. Thanks! Also, I am almost down to my High School weight. My wife thanks you as well! Haha!

Love the idea! Very well designed web site. Easy to navigate. Lots of useful tools and information. Looking forward to racking up 1,000,000 miles together.

My wife and I just got back from Colorado where we walked up Pike's Peak; 13 miles! What a workout! Mike R

Two Million Miles Together

LET'S DO IT!

Spring is just around the corner! Along with warmer temperatures and additional hours of daylight, we all have more opportunities to get outside and enjoy Tulsa's beautiful trails and parks.

Make sure you log on to our Web site every day to keep track of your progress, check on upcoming fitness events in Tulsa, and much more!

Did you know Oklahoma ranks No. 2 as the most obese state in the country? Help us change our unhealthy rankings by eating healthy and being physically active every day. Whether you ride your bike, walk, run, swim, kayak, play basketball, or participate in another form of fitness activity, you can be a part of the solution for a healthier community and state. Let's get fit and lean during 2010!

Just a reminder -- event directors, please send us your race results so we can add them to the site. Your events' mileage will help us log two million miles as a community by the end of the year.

Come on Tulsa, let's get healthy and lean for life! Together, we can shape up Tulsa one mile at a time.

Mayor Dewey Bartlett

P.S. Here's a fit tip you can really use: cycling on a stationary bike for 45 minutes a day roughly equals 10 miles!
